Chavasse's medals, which had been left by his family to St Peter's College, Oxford, were purchased in 2009 by Lord Ashcroft for around £1.5 million, a world record price.  The medals, along with others, will be displayed in a new gallery at the Imperial War Museum, London from 12th November.
