Shares
Donating shares to UK charities is a particularly tax-efficient way of giving as individuals can obtain significant tax relief. This method of giving enables the donor to claim full income tax relief on the value of the gift and, in addition, the gift would be exempt from any liability for capital gains tax. If you want further information about giving to MCS by shares, please contact the Development Office.
Gifts of property
Introduced in April 2002, this gives relief from income tax for gifts of property. The donor deducts the full market value of the property, less anything received in return, from their income for tax purposes. If you want further information about giving property to MCS, please contact the Development Office.
